About Quick Supper Ideas
Quick Supper Ideas is an independent recipe publication focused on one thing: dinners that can realistically be cooked in 20 minutes or less on an ordinary home stove. It is not affiliated with any food brand, retailer, or appliance maker.
What we publish
Every recipe is built around supermarket ingredients, a short equipment list, and steps that a tired cook can follow without rereading. Alongside the recipe card, each page explains ingredient choices and substitutions, the visual and sensory cues that show when a step is done, common mistakes, dietary variations such as gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian swaps where they make sense, serving ideas, and storage and reheating advice.
How recipes are written and checked
Recipes are written from established home-cooking techniques and then reviewed for timing and consistency before they are published. Prep and cook times are checked step by step so that they add up to the stated total and stay at or under 20 minutes; prep times assume ingredients are ready to measure and that you are reasonably comfortable with a knife. Cooking times always depend on your stove, pan, and ingredient sizes, so each recipe also describes what the food should look, sound, or feel like when it is ready.
Internal temperatures for meat, poultry, and seafood follow USDA food-safety guidance. Ingredient lists, instructions, and the article text are cross-checked so that quantities and times match. When a reader reports an error, we correct the recipe and update the "Updated" date shown on the page.
About the photos
Recipe and step photos on this site are illustrative. They are generated images created to show what a finished dish or cooking stage typically looks like, not photographs of a specific batch. Your dish may look a little different, and that is fine.
Advertising and independence
The site may be supported by display advertising such as Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over which recipes we publish or what they say. See our privacy policy for details on cookies and ads.
